Andrew Coleburn

Andrew has been a theatre kid since serving as an assistant stage manager for his high-school's production of Grease his freshman year. He majored in Theatre at Hobart College, where he performed in numerous faculty and student directed productions and was also a founding member of the social justice theatre company Mosaic NY.

After college, he continued his theatre studies in the three-year MFA Acting program at UCF and The Orlando Shakespeare Theater. That went, in a word, poorly! He left after three semesters, eventually finishing a thesis on metatheatre to earn his M.A in Theatre Studies.

Since departing UCF in 2017, when friends or family ask him if he has thought about doing any acting again, he likes to say he "promoted himself to patron."

Andrew currently lives in NYC with his wife Dylan (who is responsible for editing nearly every piece on Promoted to Patron), working as a software developer to help fund their insatiable theatre ticket habit.
